West Fire Update

According to CAL FIRE San Diego, the West Fire remains at 400 acres and containment has risen to 30% as of 7:30 a.m. on July 7. Damage assessment is in the initial phases, and numbers will change. Preliminary CAL FIRE reports indicate 18 structures destroyed and 8 structures damaged. All evacuation orders and warnings remain in place until further notice. The County of San Diego?s Office of Emergency Services has set up recovery resources for residents who are impacted by the July 6, 2018 fires. Information can be found at SDCountyRecovery.com. Residents can also call 2-1-1 for health and community resources.
