Red Flag Warning Issued for Sunday through Tuesday

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for San Diego?s Inland Valleys and Mountains Sunday through Tuesday because of low humidity and strong, gusty winds in the forecast. The warning takes effect at 6 a.m. Sunday and is set to expire at 8 p.m. Tuesday, when winds are expected to weaken. On Sunday, northeast winds of 15 to 30 mph with gusts of 55 mph and daytime humidity as low as 5 percent are expected to elevate wildfire danger. Then Monday night into Tuesday, winds are expected to become east to northeast and 25 to 35 mph, with gusts up to 70 mph.
