Excessive Heat Warning - Friday June 3 through Sunday June 5

The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat warning for San Diego County deserts and a heat advisory for the inland valley and mountains below 5500 feet from 10 a.m. Friday to 8 p.m. Sunday. Temperatures will be up to 20 degrees above average Friday and Saturday.

The County operates a Cool Zones program and has designated buildings as cooling centers. The Borrego Springs branch of the County Library, one of the Cool Zone locations, will extend its hours today, June 3 and tomorrow, June 4 until 7:00 p.m. The library is located at 587 Palm Canyon Drive Suite 125, Borrego Springs, CA 92004.
